Hello All, We wanted to take a few moments to thank all of our faith leaders today on Pastor Appreciation Day. Thank you for every prayer, every consideration, and every moment you are doing God’s work. A special recognition to the pastoral leadership in the Yakkma County Branch, Rev. Murry Bradley, Rev. Willie Pride, Rev. David Hacker, and Rev. Robert Trimble who is our Past President and current Religious Affairs Chair. Thank you is not nearly enough for all the support you give, just know your labour is not in vein.

Continuing our amazing weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Aquatic Center. The center is a beautiful display of community, with the wave wall recognizing everyone who made this a reality. This project was a decade of vision, advocacy, and understanding of what well-being needed to look like in East Yakima. This project cost right over $14 Million Dollars. This center is a true testament of what power looks like when we work together for a common goal. Celebrating the centers 1st birthday.

What a beautiful day of Empowerment. It was our honor to support our young Latina Community in receiving education in leadership and civic engagement from local and national leaders at the Annual Poderosas Summit. A true opportunity in creating a path for our next generation of leaders. We are in good hands Yakima Valley. ~ Blessings President Adrianne

: The NAACP’s Office of General Counsel is joining the legal team focused on the death of Nolan Wells because truth, justice, and accountability cannot wait.

Nolan’s family deserves answers, and we will continue fighting to ensure that no Black life is ever overlooked, dismissed, or denied justice.

"Drawing on the Association’s long history of pushing for full and fair investigations when Black lives are lost under suspicious circumstances, we will bring additional investigative and legal resources to bear and ensure that no stone is left unturned in the quest for truth and accountability for Nolan’s family.” — Kristen Clarke, NAACP General Counsel https://naacp.org/articles/naacp-office-general-counsel-joins-nolan-wells-family-legal-team

A community coalition gathered at an informal lunch with Obama Foundation representatives to share thoughts, visions and community engagement. The meeting topic was how to increase the number of people between ages 25-45 interested in applying to the Obama Leadership Program. It's success is built on commitment and mentorship. What does that mean to our communities here in Yakima Valley? https://www.obama.org/programs/leaders/
