The Hancock County Cemetery Commission (HCCC) was established in 2001. Currently 92 known cemeteries exist in Hancock County. HCCC is responsible for cemeteries where:
-No funds or sources of funds for reasonable maintenance are available
-A cemetery has suffered neglect and deterioration
-The cemetery may be burial grounds for Indiana pioneers and/or
veterans of an American war
-The cemetery was established before 1850. We rely on volunteers and donations. We would love to have you stop by our next meeting! We meet on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 pm at 111 S American Legion Place--the Commissioner's Courtroom at the Hancock County Courthouse Annex.
