Happy Halloween from Marysville Fire District! Make sure you are celebrating safely tonight- trick or treaters should wear reflective clothing or carry lights so they are visible to drivers. Stay on the sidewalks and look carefully before crossing streets. And parents should ALWAYS ensure that the Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups are good quality by taste-testing a few. 😈

Congratulations to Firefighter Whitney-Bajema on his receipt of the Phoenix award. In March of 2026, Ashton was assigned to engine 65 as the firefighter. When he arrived on scene of a structure fire he rushed inside to rescue the occupant and control the fire. His quick actions and professionalism gave the occupant a second chance at life. We appreciate his efforts and acknowledge his great work. Nicely done Ashton!

Our crews were treated to a great lunch today by the Gary Sinise Foundation and volunteers from Amazon in celebration of a grant award. The Foundation assisted in purchasing two new training manikins- both an adult and neonatal model. We are so thankful for their support!

Working smoke alarms save lives.
Home is where you and the people you love should feel safest. But if a fire starts while you’re sleeping, you may have only minutes to get everyone outside safely. A working smoke alarm can give your family the early warning you need to escape.
Snohomish County fire agencies encourage everyone to check their smoke alarms today. Make sure they work, test them regularly, and help protect the people who matter most.
Because when it comes to protecting your family, every second counts.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire. For more info: www.fpw.org.
