Anchor Moving & Storage is truly honored to have been entrusted with the historic move of Governor Mikie Sherrill and her family into Drumthwacket, New Jersey’s official Governor’s Residence. After more than two decades without a governor living there full time, this was a truly special milestone for our state.

Receiving this heartfelt letter from First Gentleman Jason Hedberg makes the experience even more meaningful. His kind words about our team mean more than we can express.

A huge thank you to Diego Salazar and his crew — Joel, Sammy, Manuel, Wilmar, and Frank — for representing Anchor with such care, professionalism, and dedication. Anchor trucks on the tarmac at PHL… even in the pouring rain! ✈️🌧️

Talk about a behind-the-scenes experience! We’re excited to have helped bring the Escape Lounge at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to life.

This was more than just a delivery. It was a true final-mile project that required careful planning, coordination, and attention to detail from start to finish.

Our team began by storing the commercial-grade equipment in our warehouse, then delivered it to the airport for installation and placement. The truckload included stainless steel ovens, sinks, coolers, and other small appliances—all destined for their new home inside the lounge.

Because this project took place in a secure airport environment, our crew members had to complete background checks and obtain security clearance. Working after hours, we drove our liftgate truck directly onto the tarmac for delivery. Once inside the terminal, our team carefully navigated the large equipment through the building and around passengers, ensuring everything was handled safely and delivered to the correct locations.

The job didn’t end with delivery. Our crew unpacked the equipment, placed each item where it belonged, and removed all packing materials and debris, leaving the space ready for the next stage.

And for Anchor, there was an extra-special first: our trucks on the tarmac at PHL! 🚛✈️ Even with the rain pouring down, our crew got the job done and kept the product from being damaged. Getting a behind-the-scenes look at the airport in action was an amazing experience—one most travelers never get to see!
