Losing my 2012 campaign buddy Hartly has been an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking experience. Hartly our "farm dog" was highly trainable, loyal, and if you wanted to meet him, it was best if you were prepared to offer treats to him.

Hartly was not warm-fuzzy dog. Being part Kelpie, he was an independent thinker and he loved to work the campaign trail! 'You can take the dog off the farm, but you cannot take the farm out of the dog.'
He is now undoubtedly enjoying his unleashed freedom to run, herd, and eat at the big farm in the sky.
