SCCAP Head Start SCCAP Head Start is a family-centered program that supports the mental, social, and emotional develop

Head Start is a family centered child development program whose mission is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. SCCAP Head Start has been in existence since 1965 and serves over 300 children at 10 sites in Monroe County. We help children grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. All SCCAP services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, s*x, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.

If you have new or gently used toys that are ready for a new home, Head Start will take them off your hands! We are hosting a Holiday Toy Exchange for families in December and need items to share. Donations will be accepted at our school locations or SCCAP office (1500 W. 15th) Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm until November 20th. Please make sure toys are clean, have all their pieces, and are in good condition. For questions, contact Issa at [email protected].

Over the past two weeks, our staff have been gearing up for a new school year by completing training, team-building, and getting classrooms ready to welcome students! 🧩We would like to thank Pizza X, Iron Pit Gym, and Bake Me A Cake Etc for their generous donations of lunch and treats for our staff. 🍕🧁We are excited to learn, grow, and make a difference this school year! 🌟

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young children in our community? We’re looking for a Head Start Nutrition Aide to help deliver nutritious meals to our little learners and support healthy early childhood development.
Requirements:
✔ High school diploma or GED
✔ Valid driver’s license
✔ Vehicle liability insurance
Perks:
✨ Health insurance
✨ Paid time off
✨ Free gym membership
✨ Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends!)
