12 years ago “Brighten Up for the Kids” was created to collect toys, and gifts as well as raise money for the children who will be staying at Akron Children’s Hospital of the Mahoning Valley during the holidays. All toys, gifts, and monetary donations go to Akron Children’s Hospital of the Mahoning Valley and the special care unit for babies. The 18-bed special care unit provides an intermediate level of care to newborns with developmental problems. Make a difference for these kids by helping Brighten Up for the Kids provide for ACH.

Despite the rain, the Steel Valley Jeep Club Scavenger Hunt was a SUCCESS! Together, we raised $500+ for Brighten Up for the Kids! ⭐

With this $500+ raised as well as a $500 private donation - the newly launched "Always Ready Fund" will have a $1000 start!

The Always Ready Fund was created so that when Akron Children’s Hospital calls with an urgent need for basic essentials for a child, Brighten Up can respond immediately.

Because when a child needs us, we need to be ready.

A HUGE thank you to Steel Valley Jeep Club at Halliday's Winery / Steel Valley Jeep Club for putting together such an incredible event and choosing Brighten Up as the beneficiary. Thank you to every team who came out in the rain, every volunteer, business, first responder, sponsor, and every person who helped make today possible.

Yesterday reminded me that success isn't always measured by the size of a crowd, but by the difference we will all make together.

There were aprox 35 jeeps at the Jeep'n for the Kids Jeep Jam and because of their generosity and love, Brighten Up for the Kids collected 226 new toys and $1,300 for the children at Akron Children's Hospital Beeghly Campus, Boardman!

To everyone who donated a toy, purchased raffle tickets, volunteered your time, sponsored the event, or simply came out to support us...thank you. Your kindness will bring smiles, comfort, and hope to children who need it most.

A special thank you to the Steel Valley Jeep Club , our generous sponsors, everyone who donated raffle baskets, and our incredible Jeep family.

Your continued support means more than words can express. Every toy tells a child, "Someone is thinking of you." Every dollar helps us continue this mission.

We'll have an incredible basket raffle, 50/50 cash raffle, great music, amazing people, and lots of fun—all while making a difference for children at Akron Children's Hospital -Beeghly Campus.

We are beyond grateful to have delivered nearly 8,000 toys to Akron Children's Hospital Beeghly Campus, Boardman today — all collected during the Miss Ohio Festivals Pageant / AmeriFest Pageant! 💖🎁
