I’m super late this year, but I finally got the COVID and flu vaccines today.

If you haven’t gotten around to it yet, it’s not too late to protect your health!

Kids and adults in the streets, costumes, lights, sounds of joy. The multi-block Halloween block parties on Elm and Richmond were incredible!

As someone in the video says “OMG, I feel like I’m at a music festival”… possibly the first time that’s ever been said on an El Cerrito street.

These block parties were made possible by our pilot Halloween block party program and big efforts by community member hosts. I look forward to improving and expanding the program next year to keep Halloween fun and safe!

Have feedback on the evening and the pilot program? Please share.

Had a blast last night with my family at the Lights on Potrero Halloween show!

It was great to hang out with so many people and kids having fun and enjoying our community. ❤️🎃

Check it out tonight through Monday night from 7-9 pm with shows on the hour on Potrero at Norvell in El Cerrito.

I’m horrified and disgusted that oil companies have spent $60k to reelect Gabe Quinto to the El Cerrito City Council.

They’re spending more than $3 per El Cerrito voter, which has no oil or gas industry.

For context, the other independent expenditure groups have each spent less than $10k this year in El Cerrito.

Clearly Gabe’s Air Board seat is important enough for them to try to buy this election.

Amazing RTM day of action at El Cerrito Plaza BART!

Last night I found out there were just two people including me signed up, so I spread the word, and wow!!! Blown away by how much El Cerritans care about transit and are ready to show up with just 12 hours notice.

Vote Yes on RTM to save transit!

So inspired by the huge group of folks who turned out tonight at the Bike East Bay office to phone bank for Measure RTM!

With more folks joining virtually and with other phoning happening throughout the County, we made 10k calls to Alameda County voters to save transit. ❤️🚄🚍

San Pablo Avenue is incredibly important for El Cerrito and surrounding cities. It's where we're building nearly all of El Cerrito's multi-family housing, and it's where most small businesses are located.

Yet it's hostile to people walking, biking, and riding buses. We can change that and create a San Pablo Avenue for everyone!

The Contra Costa Transportation Authority - CCTA is planning for huge access improvements on San Pablo Avenue. Please take 5 minutes to take this survey, and spread the word: https://tinyurl.com/sanpablosafety2026

My front porch bench has become the El Cerrito hub for the Measure RTM campaign, because we need this measure to pass.

The future of El Cerrito is frightening if RTM fails.

We are the smallest city that has two BART stations, and our city’s success depends on transit.

Vote Yes on RTM vote to save transit and our city!

Today’s United Against Hate Week Chalk Art event in Centennial Park was incredible! So many El Cerrito kids and adults came together to make wonderful, welcoming art.

Thanks to the El Cerrito Human Relations Commission and Arts & Culture Commission for organizing the event!
