Get ready to showcase your artistic skills because the Spruce Pine Public Library is hosting a Pumpkin Painting Party this coming Monday, October 5th at 11:00 AM. This marks the fourth year of the Pumpkin Contest, but this year comes with a twist that puts the paintbrushes directly into the hands of the community.

In previous years, library staff members were the ones who painted the pumpkins for visitors to judge. This year, the library is turning the tradition over to you. Patrons of all ages are invited to attend the Pumpkin Painting Party, decorate their own gourds, and enter them into the community voting contest.

The library will provide all the paint and decorating supplies, as well as light snacks and finger foods! A limited number of extra pumpkins will also be available on a first come first served basis for those who cannot bring one.
