Community Housing Partners Community Housing Partners is a non profit agency in Aurora Colorado whose mission it is provide affordable housing and supportive services to families

Community Housing Partners (CHP) otherwise known as Aurora Housing Corporation (AHC) has been in existence since 1985. As a 501c3 tax exempt organization, CHP has provided affordable housing to low and moderate income people. CHP houses many different people who come to the housing due to varied circumstances. Some are refugees from various Asian and African nations. Others have been homeless due to recent circumstances such as the death of a spouse or leaving a domestic violence situation. Some have histories of being homeless with no access to life skills such as budgeting of financial literacy. Many have grown up on the streets themselves or in families who have histories of episodic homelessness. What do we do? Community Housing Partner serves low income families many of whom were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by developing affordable rental housing, managing these units, and offering transitional housing services.

Roofing is underway for Eagle Meadow Homes in time for winter!

Palace Construction is rocking as it nears completion with framing on CHP's two buildings. We're on track to have them enclosed with roofing prior to heavy winter snows. We'll start pre-leasing next Spring with a planned grand opening in late Summer 2024. CHP is excited to provide 93 units at 30-60% AMI, with 11 units at 30% and 13 units at 40% AMI.

A Precious Child packed toys for 50 kids at Plaza & Tollgate Townhomes. Peace with Christ Lutheran Church has tailored gifts for 27 kids. Palace Construction and FirstBank have donated gift cards for teens and grocery cards for families.

However, these families are still confronting hardships after the pandemic with rent, utilities, and unpaid bills. Please consider a donation to help formerly homeless and at-risk families on Colorado Gives Day this December 5th. CHP Awarded State Affordable Housing Tax Credits

The Colorado Housing & Finance Authority awarded CHP state tax credits to build Eagle Meadow Homes. There will be 93 units on 4.8 acres at 14875 E. 2nd Avenue in Aurora, east of Sable Avenue and northwest of Aurora City Center.

The units will serve families earning 30-60% of the area median income and will set-aside units for formerly homeless families, including those living in motels and doubled up. At lease-up these units will be rented to families in the Aurora@Home Rapid Rehousing Program, providing rent assistance and case management.

The units will have balconies/patios and ample open areas backing up to Tollgate Creek. There will be an on-site resident services coordinator and programs for children. Eagle Meadow Homes will be less than a mile from two light rail stations and regional shopping centers.

CHP is now proceeding to site planning and investor financing. Construction could start as early as the fall of 2022.
