Daylight Saving Time Ends November 1

As Daylight Saving Time comes to an end, remember to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday, October 31.

This is also a great time to check your home’s safety equipment. Take a few minutes to:

Test your smoke detectors.

Test your carbon monoxide detectors.

Check and replace batteries as needed, following the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Need smoke detectors for your home?

The Muskegon Charter Township Fire Department partners with the American Red Cross to promote fire safety and provide smoke detector installations at no cost to the homeowner.

For more information about this program and how to request assistance, please visit this link https://muskegontwpmi.gov/smoke-alarm-install/

Taking a few simple steps can help protect your home, your family, and our community.
