Orange Youth and Prevention Services annual Funtober family event is fast approaching! We are still looking for candy donations and for volunteers to set up a trunk for the trunk or treaters! 🌟 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: CONNIE DELVISCO! 🌟

Say hello to Connie DelVisco, an Orange resident for over 55 years whose warm wit, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor continue to brighten the Senior Center! 💙

Connie enjoys staying active with many Senior Center activities, including Zumba, drumming, singing, crocheting, crafts, and bingo. But what she enjoys most is helping others. Whether she’s sharing a joke during chair exercise, bringing smiles and laughter to those around her, or playing a beautiful melody on the piano in the Senior Café, Connie brings joy wherever she goes. 🎶😊

She credits the staff and her fellow seniors for making the Senior Center such a warm, friendly, and caring place. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand make her a truly special part of our Senior Center community.

And when asked about her favorite Senior Center memories?
🍦 “The Cabarets have always made me smile. I especially enjoy the ice cream!”

🎄❤️ Town of Orange Community Services Holiday Program — Sign-Ups Now Open! ❤️🎄

The Town of Orange Community Services Holiday Program is now accepting registrations for Thanksgiving & Holiday Meal Assistance and Holiday Gifts for eligible children under the age of 18.

If you are an Orange resident in need of assistance this holiday season, please contact Jennifer Hudson at 203-891-4788 or [email protected].

📌 Proof of residency and household income are required to qualify.
📅 Registration Deadline: October 31st

🎁 We will also be releasing information in October for those who would like to donate to the Holiday Program. Stay tuned!

Ready for a fun afternoon? Pull up a chair, grab a lucky dauber, and join us for weekly Bingo! It is the perfect place to catch up with old friends, meet wonderful new neighbors, and enjoy a little friendly competition. Come for the excitement, stay for the friendships! Thursdays at 1:00pm.

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Marianne Bauer, a lifelong Orange resident whose enthusiasm, dedication, and positive spirit have made her a wonderful part of our Senior Center community! 💙🧡

Whether she’s leading weekly hikes, practicing yoga, or lending a hand at major events like Pasta Festa and the Health & Safety Fair, Marianne is always ready to get involved and keep moving!

Her lifelong commitment to serving others has been recognized with the Judith Planchered Leadership Award (2009) and the Living Treasure Award (2012)—honors that reflect her lasting contributions to our community.

Thank you, Marianne, for all the energy, kindness, and positivity you bring to the Senior Center! We’re so lucky to have you! 🧡

📢 Medicare Annual Enrollment is right around the corner!

Not sure if you have the best Medicare coverage for your needs? Want to learn more about your options, supplemental coverage, or what to expect when turning 65?

The Town of Orange is offering a series of Medicare informational seminars this fall, featuring representatives from various insurance companies and Medicare-related programs.

📅 Seminars begin September 29 and continue through November 17, covering topics including the ABCs & Ds of Medicare, Supplemental Medicare, Aetna, Devoted, Anthem, United American and more.

Whether you're already enrolled or preparing to turn 65 in 2027, these sessions are a great opportunity to get informed!

💙🩺 Here’s To Your Health! 🩺💙

The 23rd Annual Here’s To Your Health is coming up! This FREE event is a great opportunity for seniors in our community to learn more about their health while enjoying screenings, refreshments, giveaways, raffles, and more.

The last piece of the Town of Orange's updated solicitation ordinance is in place and working properly. The "DO NOT SOLICIT REGISTRY" is now live and individuals can register their address through the attached link. Remember, part of opting in to the registry is that you agree to post a "No Soliciting" sign on your property in a location reasonably visible to anyone entering the property.
