🌵 Scottsdale, Arizona, was the place to be for 9-1-1 leadership development!

Twenty-seven 9-1-1 professionals. Twelve states. Five days of learning, collaboration, and conversations that will make a difference long after the course ends!

Participants traveled from Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Washington to attend NENA’s Center Manager Certificate Program (CMCP).

From tackling real-world leadership challenges to exchanging fresh ideas and learning from one another’s experiences, this group brought incredible energy and perspective to the classroom! They left with new tools, stronger connections, and plenty of ideas to take back to their centers.

A HUGE thank-you to the Salt River Police Department (SRPD) for their outstanding hospitality and for helping make this week such a success!

👏 Congratulations to all 27 graduates of CMCP #207! Your commitment to growing as leaders is an investment in your teams, your agencies, and the future of 9-1-1.

Great leaders never stop learning, and this group is proof!

Today, Representatives Norma Torres (D-CA) and Kat Cammack (R-FL) opened a process to allow other members of Congress to join a Dear Colleague letter they co-authored asking Speaker Johnson to bring S.725, the Enhancing First Response Act, to the House floor for immediate consideration.

This is a significant development in our long struggle for telecommunicator reclassification. A letter such as this – signed by dozens of House offices – would demonstrate to House leadership that this bill enjoys strong bipartisan support and should be voted on immediately.

At this time, NENA is calling upon our membership to contact their members of Congress and urge them to sign on to this Dear Colleague letter. Time is of the essence since S.725 will expire at the end of this Congress.

Please contact your member of Congress today and urge them to join Reps. Torres and Cammack in our efforts for an immediate vote on S.725.

⚾ 👏 Last night Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers clinched a victory to advance to the World Series, and we're grateful to the team for recognizing the lifesaving work of 9-1-1 professionals along the way.

During one of the last home games of the regular season, the Brewers hosted a group of local 9-1-1 professionals for a event highlighting the vital role of our heroes under the headsets.

Thanks also to Motorola Solutions and Eventide Communications for helping to make it possible.

The group enjoyed complimentary tickets to a home game against the Philadelphia Phillies; a jumbotron recognition message; and an in-stadium interview with LeAnn Krieg of the UW-Madison Police Department

Congratulations, Brewers!

And thank you to our nation's 9-1-1 professionals, a vital part of every community's winning team for public safety.
