Sometimes life gets in the way, and sometimes I’m the one standing in my own way! 😂 Apparently, I still haven’t learned that there are only 24 hours in a day!
The past couple of months have been a whirlwind! I’ve traveled to several events, decorated a wedding, welcomed a new grandbaby, weathered a hurricane, and lost my father. And somewhere in the middle of all that, I finally gave in and got a steroid shot in my right wrist. I thought that would help me keep going, but instead, it unexpectedly put me another week behind!
And somehow, I convinced myself I could keep up with everything else, too. Well, this girl officially hit a wall!
I’ll admit, I’m a little disappointed in myself. I took on too much, rushed through things I should have slowed down for, and learned a few lessons the hard way.
I love what I do, and I take so much pride in every little detail of my creations. But somewhere along the way, deadlines started taking the fun out of something that brings me so much joy.
So, I’m making a change!
Going forward, I will no longer be taking pre-orders. I’ll be creating at my own pace and listing each piece when it’s finished and ready to ship. What you see in the pictures will be the exact piece you receive!
The good news? I’m FINALLY starting to feel like I’m catching up! 🙌 And I can’t wait to show you some of the new creations I’m working on and those I’ve been dreaming up!
My head is overflowing with ideas, and I’m so excited to get back to creating without constantly watching the clock.
Thank you all for your patience, encouragement, support and for loving the whimsical craziness that comes out of my craft room!
And I'm sharing all of this because I know I'm not the only one who needs this reminder. Sometimes we get so caught up in orders, deadlines, and trying to do it all that we forget why we started in the first place. So, if you're feeling stretched a little too thin, consider this your reminder to slow down, give yourself a little grace, and make time to enjoy whatever it is that you love doing. Life is too short to let the things that bring us joy become the things that wear us out. ❤
I’m not slowing down on the creativity. I’m just learning to slow down long enough to enjoy it again! ❤️
