Here in WNY, we know that when times get tough, you help your neighbor out. But Gary "California" Dickson's cruel policies leave people out in the cold.

🆘During the Christmas Storm, while families were trapped and 47 people died, he was tweeting about the City of Buffalo getting what they paid for
🆘He shut down the West Seneca pool and tried to close it permanently
🆘He increased fees for youth sports by 43%
🆘He eliminated Meals on Wheels funding while increasing his salary by 11%
🆘He used the power of the town government to threaten the livelihood of a 3rd-generation family business

It's just cruel. We deserve better.

John Rusinski, Republican/Conservative Town Board candidate: 🤔

Fact: While elected as Wi******er Fire
Commissioner (1998-2007), Rusinski failed to detect that the district treasurer was stealing more than $136,000 in taxpayer money. 🤔

Fact: Former Democrat who became a MAGA Republican in 2020. 🤔

Fact: As a part-time councilman, he voted to give himself taxpayer-funded health insurance. 🤔

Fact: As the risk manager for Rural/Metro, he faced serious questions over his failure to investigate a suspected arson. 🤔

Let's look at a Town Board agenda...

Oftentimes, you'll see information presented in a way that is not user friendly. Documents scanned sideways, memos lack clear information, or references to internal information that may or may not be clear to the public.

I believe the Town should have clear, consistent, and uniform requirements for agenda items.

Every agenda item should include information with a clear reasoning and justification and fiscal impacts, including procurement requirements, if applicable.

Every attachment should be presented in an easily readable, professional format.

Why should we do this?

Residents should have access to this information in a way that is transparent and accessible before Town Representatives make decisions on them - before they are voted on. Residents should be able to understand the what, why, and how decisions are being made on their behalf without having to figure it out by continuing to take time to watch a Town Board meeting.

We've all been there - work or family obligations, kids' sporting events, or just taking time to enjoy your evening. Residents shouldn't have to investigate the information on a Town agenda, followed by a discussion at a Board meeting.

Let's make these simple changes to keep residents informed. Our town will only be stronger because of it.
