We can’t let companies automate hiring, firing, and wage setting decisions with AI. Our bill S4075 would prevent companies from using these tools on workers. This is about protecting dignity for people in New Jersey and keeping humanity in these decisions.

Public libraries are magical places where you can find books that transport you to another part of the world, another time, or introduce you to a new person. At a time of rising costs, book banning, and a loss of community, libraries bring us together, and all for free.

As AI integrates itself within the workplace, workers deserve transparency, accountability, and protections as that technology evolves.

Senator Andrew Zwicker and Senator Shirley K. Turner joined NJ AFL-CIO in support of the FAIR Act, legislation that would establish guardrails for AI systems used in employment and public services, including electronic monitoring tools and automated employment decision-making.

By putting transparency and accountability at the center of AI policy, the FAIR Act aims to help ensure technology works for New Jerseyans and not at their expense.
