An important community event for students and parents. Learn about addiction, social media, substance use, fentanyl awareness and more. Students attending with a parent/guardian will receive 2 hours of community service.

On Thursday, June 11, join Councilwoman Theresa Mari for The Addicted Brain, a student and parent community education program hosted by addiction educator Dr. Stephen Dewey. Dr. Dewey, a research professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine, will discuss addiction, brain development, decision-making, and the risks teens and young adults face. Topics may include social media, gambling, substance usage, fentanyl awareness, and how addiction affects the developing brain.
Bring a parent or legal guardian to Harborfields High School on Thursday, June 11 and receive two hours of community service. Registration is required and may be done by scanning the QR code. For more information, please call (631) 351-3173.

This special event gave students the opportunity to find the perfect dress or suit for prom at no cost.
