We applaud two Bloomfield Hills High School seniors, Zara Kanjwal and Sarah Zhang, who co-directed a short documentary called Built Unequal: Black Women, Birth, and America. It explores how historic policies and systemic medical bias continue to shape Black maternal health outcomes today.

The documentary will be viewed at a free Maternal Health Community Forum on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 1-3 p.m. at the Detroit Public Library. A panel discussion and Q&A will follow. We hope to see you there! Register at https://bit.ly/4j9BcVs Bloomfield Hills Schools
