Tricia Saunders changed the course of wrestling history. 💪
A four-time World Champion and the first U.S. woman to win a World wrestling title, Saunders paved the way for generations of female wrestlers. She captured 11 U.S. National Women's Freestyle championships, won 11 World Team Trials, and retired without ever losing to an American opponent.
Her impact didn't stop on the mat. As a coach and advocate, Saunders helped expand opportunities for women in wrestling, including coaching at the first Olympic Games to feature women's wrestling in 2004.
As the first woman inducted as a Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Tricia Saunders' legacy continues to inspire wrestlers around the world. 🏆🤼♀️
