Laurelhurst 1938 (notice large lawns that are now homes) - Beginning in 1906, a group of local property owners started promoting Laurelhurst as a good place to live. Although the city annexed the area in 1910, until the 1920s it was difficult to get there except by railroad or by ferry from Madison Park. Laurelhurst grew faster after the Montlake Bridge was completed in 1925 and roads were improved.

Looks like fun - coming to Laurelhurst!

Hey Seattle! We will be back this week for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (note time change: we know your kiddos go to bed early!). Check out the map to see if you are in the yellow highlighted target zone for Friday, April 24: https://bit.ly/3eEog6k

We have teamed up this week with our friends at Seattle Police and will drive through highly residential areas and streets with assisted living and long-term care facilities. Bring your family members and kids to the window or doorstep of your house and make some noise as we drive by! Fire and police rigs will flash their lights to let you know that we are here to serve and are during this challenging time of battling COVID-19.

Disclaimer: We will not be able to drive through every Seattle street, but will do our best to make it to as many areas as possible in the highlighted zone. Crews will remain in service to respond to emergencies, so may get pulled away. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and do not approach the rigs as they drive by.
