Taste of the Swamp is the ARABC’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and we’re ready to start planning an unforgettable 2027 event!

Join us tomorrow, Monday, September 21, at 6:30 PM in the ARHS Media Center for our first committee meeting. We’ll share what we’re thinking for 2027 and talk about all the ways you can get involved.

Whether you have a few hours to spare, want to help with a specific project, or are interested in becoming a subcommittee chair, there’s a place for you! We have opportunities for every skill set and every time commitment.

All are welcome, and we’d love to see representation from every sport.

TASTE OF THE SWAMP NEEDS YOU!

Taste of the Swamp is the ARABC’s biggest fundraiser of the year, but an event this big doesn’t happen without the help of our incredible volunteers and committee members.

Our first Taste of the Swamp Committee Meeting will be Monday, September 21 at 6:30 PM in the Ashley Ridge High School Media Center — and everyone is welcome!

We’d love to have parents representing all of our sports, and this is a great way for freshman parents to get involved, meet other families and become part of the ARABC community.

And there’s a role for just about everyone. Maybe you’re great at talking to people. Maybe you have lots of local business connections. Maybe you love crafting, organizing or creating. Or maybe you’re simply willing to make a few phone calls or send some emails.

Not able to make Monday’s meeting but still want to help? Send us a DM with:

• Name
• Email
• Sport you’re representing
• A few of your strengths or ways you’d like to help
• How much time you’re able to donate

And don’t worry — volunteering doesn’t necessarily mean giving up your evenings. You might be able to drop off flyers at local businesses during the day, make a few social media posts, send emails from your couch or make a handful of phone calls. We’ll use your interests, strengths and availability to connect you with the right subcommittee.

Never heard of a 50/50 raffle? Here’s how it works: half of the money collected goes to the lucky winner, and the other half goes to the Ashley Ridge Athletic Booster Club (ARABC). The more tickets we sell, the bigger the winning pot!

And the best part? 100% of the ARABC’s share will go toward new weight room equipment for our Swamp Fox athletes.

We are looking for some volunteers to help run the chains at the JV or Varsity Home Football Games. We currently have some volunteers, but they can't make every game so it would be nice to have some alternates if they can't make it. Please DM us if you can help!
