Freebie Alert!

We received a box of Oat & Pea Mix cover crop seeds to give out for free! Each baggie will cover 100-200 sq feet of ground and will ideally need to be planted in the next week for maximum benefit. These would work great for your garden or other small spaces!

You may be asking: Why plant a cover crop if it can’t be harvested? Cover crops have been used for many years to increase organic material in the soil, help keep weeds at bay, minimize disturbance of the soil during a time it would be bare and so much more. Not only will the cover crop break down into a natural mulch in the soil, it will help keep the soils ecosystem alive and thriving. Happy soil = happy plants and crops for this year and many years to come!

Not sure how to best plant them? No worries because we also have care cards available for you to take with you! Once the seeds and cards are gone, they are gone for the fall so don’t delay making it to the office to get yours!
