The original RUCKSACK Frame ca 1997/1998. With the separate ball/socket Frame to FLC Waistbelt assembly. This designed led to a host of lower back injuries due range of motion mismatched while trying to connect the "ball" to the socket while the vest was worn... only for it to miss and jab the wearers back with the full mass of the laden ruck assembly.

Eventually the design was simplified to one contiguous ruckbag, one piece integrated Frame along with an FLC with an attached belt assembly
