The Florida Legislature poured more than $67 million into the state’s parks this year. The budget marks a record year for the parks, according to Gil Ziffer, State Parks Foundation President. “In every sense, this has been one of the most successful Legislative Sessions ever as far as Florida’s award-winning state parks are concerned. This is a year of record funding,” Ziffer said.

The funding comes amid increasing popularity of the state's parks.

These are a few of the ways auto-related scams are victimizing consumers, who face a much higher likelihood of being defrauded in Florida than most other states, according to a new report by Tampa-based insurance price comparison website.

Whether it's outrageous interest or useless warranties, Florida is the third-worst state for auto-related fraud, according to an analysis of Federal Trade Commission complaints by insurance rate aggregator Clearsurance.
