Dear Newly Commissioned Mississippi Notaries…

You are a Notary Public…
… not a Notary Republic.

You are Commissioned…
… not Licensed.

There is a difference between a Notary Public and a Notary Signing Agent.

Purchase your supplies from a reputable company IN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI or order through the National Notary Association.

You cannot notarize everything that is put in front of you.

Go to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s website, read, and LEARN what you can and cannot do. You can also learn through the National Notary Association.

There has been plenty of times that I had to notarize new documents for a client that the previous Notary messed up.

Please be diligent and responsible with your commission.

-Present your ID to the Notary
