Save the Last KC Forest Get the latest updates on our efforts to preserve the Line Creek Forest as a conservation area and protect it from development.

Help preserve the Line Creek Forest, one of the last forests in the Kansas City Northland, from development. This is 800 acres of forest that surrounds the Line Creek Trail, and offers its citizens a quiet place to run, walk, bike and spend time. Beginning in 2018, part of the forest will be eliminated for two schools, parking lots and sports fields, and Kansas City’s long-term plan is to replace the rest of the forest with a parkway, retail shops and more housing developments. We are a group of concerned citizens who will be working with elected officials, property owners and the Missouri Department of Conservation to try and preserve the forest for future generations.
