Dear friends, as we start the new school year I want to share with you a decision I have made. It has been an honor to serve on the Lincoln Board of Education for the last twelve years. I am proud of the work we've accomplished together.
This will be my last year on the school board. I have decided not to seek re-election when my third term ends next May. Instead I will be focused on spending more time with my family and on my health.
I deeply appreciate your support of my board service and my ongoing cancer fight. I intend to finish strong in my remaining months of service, knowing that our community continues to value public education and our schools.
Thank you again, and let's have a great school year!
