Even if you weren’t active-duty, injuries during training or activation can be service-connected.
Many Guard and Reserve veterans assume they don’t qualify, and miss out on thousands.

Your daily life matters. Sleep disturbances, mobility limitations, and missed work days all count toward your rating. Keeping a symptom log can provide strong evidence for your claim.

Many veterans assume their first rating is permanent, it’s not.
You can file for increases if your symptoms worsen or if you have secondary conditions. Understanding your rating schedule is key to maximizing your benefits.

Claims fail not because veterans don’t qualify, because their evidence isn’t structured properly.

A 100% rating changes everything, financially, medically, and for your family’s future.
Most veterans leave tens of thousands on the table because they don’t know the exact evidence path the VA actually follows for 70%, 100%, and TDIU.

That stack of denial letters isn’t a reflection on you; it’s almost always missing the right kind of “new and relevant” evidence.
I’ve seen veterans with 5+ denials finally break through once they understand exactly what that phrase really means and where to find it.

Myth: “VA Disability works just like Social Security Disability— if they deny you, you’re basically done.”
Fact: Totally wrong.
These are two completely different systems.
• In 2024–2025, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals granted benefits or sent cases back for approval in about 62% of appeals.
• Supplemental claims (the fastest option) win at an even higher rate when you submit the right new evidence.
• SSDI? Less than 15% of denied claims ever get approved on appeal — and it usually takes years.
Bottom line: A VA denial is usually just the beginning, not the end.
