My brief thoughts on children of any age who behave like this are 1. They absolutely need someone to cover them and sn**ch them up (in love, not abuse) and set them straight before they destroy their lives and/or someone else’s and 2. They need someone to speak to them on their level about what trauma is taking place under the surface OR teach them the emotional intelligence to process and respectfully put words to the emotions.
