Tree Service
-Tree removal, pruning, view improvement, crown thinning, crown reduction, wind-sail improvement, dead branch removal, hung up trees and hangers, trim out disease or defects, creating habitat trees
Tree Climbing
-I use double and single rope climbing techniques. If a tree is being thinned, or having a couple branches cut for view improvement, I also practice spurless/spikeless climbing. Spurring trees leaves an ugly mess of holes in your tree, and those wounds create an entryway for a variety of pathogens to enter the tree and eventually decrease the health of the tree. Experience
-I have been involved in a variety of tree work and chainsaw work for about 15 years. I worked for a couple other tree services before starting my own business. I also have background in trail construction, conservation, general construction, and forest firefighting. To maintain my arborist certification, I have to assist a variety of trainings
having to do with climbing, cutting, safety and anything else having to do with arboriculture. Tree Assessment
-Take core samples of trees to determine how much rot or how old
-Diagnose and come up with treatment for unhealthy trees
-Tree Assessment form:
-If you are trying to get a permit to have a tree taken down on your property this can be a good idea. It's something that can be turned in and sometimes required with your request.
-It can also be helpful to have when dealing with potential hazard trees not on your property that could cause damage to your property. Tree Cabling
-If you want to keep your tree, but it has a co-dominant top with one leaning towards your house, or a long, heavy branch, cabling the tree is an option. There are a couple different ways that trees can be cabled, so we can discuss which would work best for your tree. Cabling does require an Arborist inspection every couple of years to make sure the system is still effective. Weedwacking/Clearing
-If you want an area cleared of brush, tall grass, and/or trees, I do some of that as well. Cleaning hidden drain fields, ditches, old roads, trails. Sometimes I have to do some weedwacking for a better work area under a tree. Tree Planning-
-We can come up with a plan for what trees you want to plant considering if you want native trees, tall or short trees, deciduous or evergreen, for shade or barrier, etc. Clean up-
-It's the quickest and cheapest if you know someone who wants the firewood, or you keep it for your own use, or try to sell it. In some areas, wood rounds can be left by the road, and it's usually gone in a couple of days. If you're willing to deal with the firewood, and some branches, it's pretty much half off the price. I get the tree safely to the ground with a variety of rope work and cutting. Then I typically cut trunk wood into firewood rounds and cut branches into manageable pieces. I can move rounds and branches where you want them on your property. If you have logs already down that need to be cut into rounds I can do that as well. I will do some small haul away jobs. Contact:
-Reply to this or call 360-927-3565. I can stop by to give a free quote, or if you send a couple pictures from different angles and distances of the tree with your email, I may be able to give you a rough quote.
