The Heroes Helping Heroes Pedal & Jam 2017 date has been set for 5/12/17. We would so appreciate your participation and help in sharing the event information with your fellow cycling enthusiasts! Please note the following event details:
The registration and ending site is: Mt. Olive Elementary School, 2145 Chestnut Grove Rd, King, NC 27021. Cyclists are urged to bring extra tubes, water bottles, sunscreen, and chapstick. Packet pick-up and day of registration begins at 7:30am. An on-site mechanic will be on hand to assist with last minute tune ups. Should conditions appear to be prohibitive to safe riding, the event start may be delayed and the ride course altered or a rain date elected. Event organizers will publish this decision as early as possible and will notify pre-registered cyclists via email should time permit. The Heroes Helping Heroes Pedal & Jam ride provides cyclists with three options for all skill levels. An easy 25 mile ride through flats and rolling hills as well as 50 and 75 mile options providing cyclists with 3 mountain madness climb options...Hanging Rock, Sauratown Mountain, or Pilot Mountain. Cyclists will feel the love with fully stocked rest stops and support vehicles patrolling the routes with care. A light meal and musical entertainment await the cyclists as they return. All proceeds from your participation supports Heroes Helping Heroes, a 501(c)(3) organization providing free mentorship programs and summer camps to children who are adopted, at-risk, or in foster care. In addition, Heroes Helping Heroes provides educational programs and workshops to the parents and guardians of these children with the goal of breaking generational patterns of abuse, neglect, and dependency. As of July 2016, Heroes Helping Heroes has served over 452 individual Stokes, Surry, Forsyth, Yadkin and surrounding county children at no cost to them or their families through the Seeds of Hope programs. We look forward to continued growth and are so grateful to you for the role you play in making it all possible! God Bless!
