Our Story
Senior Companion Volunteers are active adults who help other seniors live independently at home by providing friendship and support to those who no longer drive and need assistance with transportation. Clients receive simple, yet important, services: * Weekly help with activities, such as grocery shopping, errands, and appointments. * Encouragement to remain active and connected to the world outside their homes * Friendship and conversation Without this help, many older adults would be forced to leave their homes and enter assisted living facilities or nursing homes. In Mesa County, seniors 60 and older can receive support and friendship through St. Mary's Senior Companion Program.
Those who still drive and are 55+ can volunteer to become a companion and help make life a little fuller and more enjoyable for a senior in need. To become a St. Mary’s Senior Companion Program client or volunteer, call us today at 970-298-9092.
