Southern Vermont Young Professionals We have a few core things going on:

• We host 24+ events each year with a mix of social, recreational, networking, and volunteer opportunities.

Recreation • Networking • Community Engagement

The Southern Vermont Young Professionals (SoVTYPs) serves and is comprised of people aged 22-45 who live or work in Windham County who are interested in deepening their ties to the community. Members get access to all of these events for free!

• Membership with SoVTYPs gets you free access to a year’s worth of events, connections to community and professional resources and creates a powerful network of people who are energized and organized to make a more vibrant Windham County. As an added bonus, your membership dues go directly toward supporting (and make you eligible to apply for!) the Professional Development Grant program.

• Twice each year (in the Winter and Summer) we open up applications for our members to apply for professional development grants of up to $500 to support continuing education, professional certifications, and more.

• Each year, in the leadup to the Southern Vermont Economy Summit, we honor those who’ve gone above and beyond as community leaders and volunteers, and for their professional accomplishments and commitment to serving the region. Many of our awardees go on to receive statewide recognition in Vermont Business Magazine’s annual Rising Stars awards.
