We had so much fun bedazzling books for our May Adult DIY! Congrats to the winner of our drawing, Amy, who took home a bedazzzling kit 💎📕

The Urbandale Public Library is pleased to be a host once again for a City Sounds DSM public piano! This initiative was made possible by the Urbandale Public Art Committee and Urbandale Public Library Foundation.
📆The piano will be available weather-permitting until October.

Our youth librarians Carisa and Jacque have been busy visiting several schools to share all about the fun activities planned this summer and how youth 0-17 can earn book prizes AND entries into a grand prize drawing by participating in our Reading Challenge.

The title featured for the current StoryWalk® is "Federico and the Wolf" by Rebecca J. Gomez - Children's Author and illustrated by Elisa Chavarri. This fresh and funny Mexican-American take on the classic "Little Red Riding Hood" follows Federico on his way to whip up some salsa at his abuelo's house (recipe included).
