Each year the Urbandale Police Protective and Benevolent Association “Adopts” families during the Thanksgiving holiday to provide a Thanksgiving meal through our “Adopt-A-Family” initiative. Today the UPPBA delivered some Thanksgiving meals to two families in our community! Thanks to UPD Squad 2 for your assistance in providing safe es**rt of the meals to the respective families! Also a great thanks goes out to Hy-Vee for preparing the delicious food, the Urbandale Police Department for their community engagement, and the Urbandale Community Education in helping locate some local district families we could “Adopt” during this Thanksgiving Holiday.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

A huge thanks to DSM Performance for once again choosing the Urbandale Police Protective and Benevolent Association as the recipient of their annual Officer Justin Martin Memorial Workout proceeds. Every year athletes from around the Metro and Iowa come together to remember a man who loved fitness, teamwork, and encouraging others to reach their goals.
With these funds, UPPBA is better positioned to fulfill its mission to support its members and the community through our 501c3 charitable givings.
If you see Tyler with DSM Performance, please tell him thank you for his continued generous partnership with our organization and keeping Justin’s memory near to our hearts.

The Holidays are a magical time of year, filled with happiness and cheer! There are some in our community who may have fallen on some hard times and just need a hand up. Through the generous donations we receive all year, once again the UPPBA was able to adopt families in our community to provide gifts 🎁 to every member of their household! To fascilitate the gift giving, members of the Urbandale Police Department signed up to shop for our families. We also partnered with Laura Willis Photography to give each family funds for groceries.
Yesterday, members of the Urbandale Police Department delivered these gifts to the families. The smiles on these kids’ faces warmed our hearts
Happy Holidays to all! Have a safe and joyous holiday!

America is free only because the selfless men and women of our Armed Forces fought so it could be so. On this Memorial Day, let us honor those that never returned. We are forever grateful for their ultimate sacrifice.
