Provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace... Polio Plus is Rotary's flagship program.
The Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines (Evening Meetings) has been around since 2009. We tend to cater to younger professionals in the Des Moines area that would like to be involved in Rotary but can't make other clubs early AM or noon meetings. We’d love to have you as a guest at our meeting and we're always seeking community service-minded members that live or work in the Des Moines area. If you
are interested in improving the Des Moines community and being a part of a humanitarian organization with international impact, we invite you to join our group! There are more than 31,000 Rotary Clubs in more 165 countries throughout the world. Rotary clubs encourage high ethical standards and carry out humanitarian projects to address such issues as poverty, health, hunger, education, and the environment. Rotary Club members are business and professional leaders who volunteer in their communities and promote world understanding and peace. Rotary has partnered with the World Health Organization, US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and UNICEF to work toward the eradication of Polio. Rotary was founded in Chicago in1905 as the world's first volunteer service organization. Rotary clubs are nonreligious, nongovernmental, and open to every race, culture, and creed. The Rotary Club of Greater Des Moines (Evening Meetings) meets Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm-7pm at the Urbandale Golf and Country Club. What We Do
