The fix is easy, keep your phone and any charging device on a hard flat surface. You should avoid placing your charging items on your bed or sofa. A simple fix and save a huge headache later.

In your day to day activities you will at some point use an item that will need charged. It's extremely easy to plug something in and completely forget about it. Doing so can result in overcharging and possibly a fire. When the items reaches 100% you need to unplug it. One simple way to remember to unplug your item is to set a reminder or timer.

The forecast is now calling for 4 inches of rain, so now is a good time to prepare. With already saturated soil, some areas may see increased runoff and the potential for flooding.
Remember: If you see standing water, turn around, don’t drown.
A few simple ways to prepare your home:
• Clear leaves and debris from downspouts and storm drains to help water flow freely.
• Check your sump pump to make sure it’s working properly. A battery backup can be helpful in case of a power outage.
• Move important items off basement floors.
• Consider an alternate route if you’ll be traveling through areas that may experience flooding.
