Today, we showed our winged friends some love 🦋💛 We used paper plates to create and decorate butterfly feeders 🎨🪻🍊 We’re excited to welcome our fluttering visitors and hope to spot some orioles too 🐦🧡✨

Across our communities, it looked like red carpets, Renaissance-inspired celebrations, glamorous dinners, music, laughter, dancing, and moments shared together. #SPGLivingLikeRoyalty gave every community the chance to bring their own version of royalty to life — from old Hollywood elegance to fairytale charm and everything in between. 🇺🇸 Last Thursday, we celebrated Memorial Day with the Urbandale VFW as we honored our current veterans and remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸
A special thank you to Chaplain Michael from Hospice of the Midwest for leading such a meaningful service. Throughout the week, we created our own fields of poppies, made patriotic door décor, learned about the history and meaning of Memorial Day, and had the honor of a visit from Veteran Kelly Quinn, who also donated a flag for our Wall of Honor. We are grateful to all who have served and sacrificed for our country. As we celebrate today, may we all remember the true reason behind Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

West Homestead's Healing Herd visited us this afternoon! We loved loving on these special creatures. We also learned the babies fit through the fence. 😂
