📍🗳️ Before you head out, know where to go!

We’re wrapping up National Voter Education Week with one final question: Where do I vote in person?

You have two options:

✅ EARLY VOTING: October 24 – November 1
Oneida County voters can vote at ANY of the county’s four early voting sites. Pick the location and time that works for you!
Find early voting hours: oneidacountynyvotes.gov/election-information/

✅ ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, November 3
Polls are open 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. You must vote at your assigned Election Day poll site.
Look it up before you go: voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/

And remember: your ballot has TWO sheets this year! Review both sides of both sheets and submit each sheet when you vote.

📬 How do I vote by mail?

It’s Day 4 of National Voter Education Week! Here’s how mail voting works in Oneida County:

1️⃣ Request your ballot
You can request an early mail or absentee ballot for the 2026 General Election. Apply online or submit an application by mail or in person at the Board of Elections. Learn more by visiting: oneidacountynyvotes.gov/vote-by-mail/

📅 Mail and online applications must be received by October 24. In-person applications are accepted through November 2.

2️⃣ Check and vote both sheets
Look for “Ballot Sheet 1 of 2” and “Ballot Sheet 2 of 2.” Read the instructions and mark your choices.

3️⃣ Sign, date and seal
Place BOTH sheets in the security/oath envelope. Sign, date and seal it, then place it inside the prepaid return envelope and seal that, too.

4️⃣ Return your ballot
⚠️ To account for delays with the USPS, please return your ballot ASAP.
📮 By mail: postmarked by November 3 and received by November 10.
📍 By delivery: to the Board of Elections or a Oneida County Election Day poll site by 9 PM on November 3, or an Early Voting site during early voting hours, October 24–November 1.

Plot twist: your ballot has a second sheet! 👀🗳️

It’s Day 3 of National Voter Education Week, and we’re answering: What’s on my ballot and why does it have TWO sheets?

Oneida County’s 2026 General Election ballot needs two sheets because of the number of contests. This is not an error. Both sheets are part of your complete ballot!

🔴 Ballot Sheet 1 of 2: Federal, state and county offices. Some towns also have propositions on the back. Remember to check!

🔴 Ballot Sheet 2 of 2: Applicable town offices and all judicial offices. The contests you see depend on where you live.

✅ CHECK BOTH. Make sure you receive both sheets.
✅ VOTE BOTH. Review both sheets and mark your choices.

📬 You’ve got mail, Oneida County! 🗳️

Ballots have been mailed to all voters with active vote-by-mail requests for the 2026 General Election. If you requested one, keep an eye on your mailbox!

Once it arrives, there’s no reason to wait until the last minute to return your ballot. Complete and return it early to allow time for delivery back to the Board of Elections. You can also always drop your ballot off in person at the Oneida County Board of Elections office, or at any early voting or Election Day poll site in Oneida County.

Before sending it back:

✅ CHECK BOTH. Look for “Ballot Sheet 1 of 2” and “Ballot Sheet 2 of 2.”
✅ VOTE BOTH. Review and mark your choices on both sheets.
✅ SUBMIT BOTH. Place both sheets in your ballot envelope, then follow the instructions to sign, date, seal and return it.

It’s Day 1 of National Voter Education Week, and today’s question is: How do I register to vote?

🔴 Check your eligibility. To register to vote in Oneida County you must be a US Citizen, and Oneida County resident and 18 years of age or older on or before Election Day.
🔴 Complete a voter registration application online, by mail, or in person at the Oneida County Board of Elections.
🔴 Make sure your application is RECEIVED by October 24 to vote in the November 3 General Election.
🔴 Once your application is processed, you’ll get an acknowledgment from the Board of Elections but you can also confirm your registration using the voter lookup tool.

📣 ONEIDA COUNTY VOTERS: YOUR BALLOT WILL LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR.

For the November 3, 2026 General Election, every Oneida County voter will receive a ballot with TWO separate ballot sheets.

⚠️ This is NOT an error. Both sheets together make up your complete ballot.

Each will be clearly labeled:
📄 Ballot Sheet 1 of 2
📄 Ballot Sheet 2 of 2

That’s why the Oneida County Board of Elections is launching a new voter information initiative:

✅ CHECK BOTH.
Make sure you received both ballot sheets. Remember to review both sides of both sheets — contests may appear on the front and back.

🗳️ VOTE BOTH.
Mark your selections on both ballot sheets in the contests in which you wish to vote. You are not required to vote in every contest.

📥 SUBMIT BOTH.
Voting in person? Insert both sheets into the ballot scanner.

Voting by mail? Place both sheets inside your ballot oath envelope before returning it.
