Consider the following.

The United States is currently tracking 800K cases per day, for Covid.

If positive cases are 25% of total infections it will take ~90 days for every single person in the US to get Covid.

High risk persons who test positive for Covid should be given access to treatments which are proven to prevent or lesson the onset of the dangerous Covid lung and cardiovascular issues, and then be monitored closely, regardless of "vaccination status". Why? The vaccine, combined with the virus existing over time, and better treatment protocols, raises the age of risk (at this time in the data set) by about 13 years for each risk pool. It's math and data analysis science.

Regarding vaccinations and the daily case count, specifically in NYS, we have a "vax" count of 72% of the TOTAL Population, 92% for 18+ - which also means if positive cases are 25% of the infections, the "unvaccinated" would have to catch Covid every 14 days in order to fuel the current trends.

Everyone is catching and spreading Covid.

These numbers explain the Covid wave profiles and curves.

We (society) should be taking our vitamins, reducing sugar intake, and attempting to just stay as healthy as possible.

Math and numbers matter.

Live your life accordingly.

The government can't save us.

Stop letting them try.

Message from the Utica Administration

Utica Flooding Update (8/20, 10:15am):

The City of Utica has been in constant communication with State and County officials regarding the anticipated flooding throughout the city. The New York State Canal Corporation has done everything in its power to improve the flows in the affected area of Harbor Point. The conditions at Delta Reservoir are improving as flows over the spillway are diminishing.

Water levels are continuing to rise in the vicinity of the Utica Harbor. The levels are rising at a slower pace than initially predicted. As such, water levels are expected to now crest between noon and 6:00pm tonight (Friday 8/20), and the most impacted areas will be North Genesee Street, Wurz Ave, Leland Avenue and other low-lying areas flowing east to the Mohawk River.

With the water levels slowly rising, residents should expect water levels to recede slowly as well. Road closures will likely be in effect in this area over the next 24-36 hours. Travelers are urged to use caution. The city will continue to coordinate with the Canal Corporation and emergency management personnel to monitor the long-term weather forecast and provide updated projections accordingly.

Thank you to all who took part in the opening ceremonies for last night's baseball games. The presentation for police appreciation night in conjunction with the UPD, the Thomas Lindsey Foundation, Proctor ROTC, and all those who were able to attend was impactful.

The kids we coach had the opportunity to present themselves as young adults - respectful and organized - before their great games, and had fun with the officers grilling up and handing out the post game eats.
