Nominations must be received by Monday to be considered for the Class of 2026.

Some are history makers whose accomplishments changed lives. Others are quietly creating a better future right now. The Historical Hall of Fame & Living Legend Awards exist to honor both.

The Oneida County History Center is seeking nominations for the Class of 2026. We’re looking for individuals who have:
✨ Brought distinction to our region
✨ Improved the quality of life in Oneida County
✨ Enriched the cultural and social fabric of our community

Inductees are celebrated at a special annual awards ceremony and recognized through a permanent exhibit at the History Center.

GRAPOLINE was a tonic that would "cure Dyspepsia, Costiveness, Indigestion, and all inflammatory complaints where a gentle, cooling cathartic is required." Grapoline was made in Geneseo, NY

For nearly 80 years, the Historical Hall of Fame has honored remarkable people from Oneida County whose vision, leadership, service, and achievements left a lasting mark on our community and the world. Since 2001, the Living Legends Award has recognized those who continue to inspire us through their dedication and impact today.

Now it’s your turn to help identify the next class of honorees.

Think of the mentor who changed lives. The educator who inspired generations. The innovator, advocate, volunteer, or leader whose contributions deserve to be celebrated.

The Oneida County History Center is now accepting nominations for the Historical Hall of Fame & Living Legend Awards! Since 1946, the Historical Hall of Fame has honored extraordinary individuals whose achievements have shaped Oneida County, the Mohawk Valley, and beyond. The Living Legends category celebrates today’s changemakers who continue to make a difference in our communities.

Think about the leaders, educators, innovators, volunteers, and trailblazers who have inspired you. Their impact deserves recognition.
