❤️ 140 VOLUNTEERS. 8 PROJECT SITES. ONE UNITED COMMUNITY! ❤️

Today, Greater Valdosta United Way hosted our Fall Day of Caring, bringing together 140 registered volunteers across 8 project sites to make a difference throughout our community!

We kicked off the morning at the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse with delicious donuts from Holt’s Donuts and Red Owl Coffee Company before sending our amazing volunteers out to serve. From sprucing up community spaces to supporting local organizations, today was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.

A HUGE thank-you to all the businesses, organizations, and community partners who volunteered their time, showed up for their neighbors, and helped make today possible! Special thanks to:

Dove Realty, LODAC, Beautiful Creations, Valdosta Street Feed, Girls on the Run, 476th Fighter Group, 476th Moody Reserves, Bimbo Bakeries, Coca-Cola, Corteva Agriscience, Miller Hardware, Platinum Roofing, Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Capital Investors, Bank OZK, CASA, American Red Cross, Lowndes County, 90Works, Ambling, CCB, CCM, Moody AFB IRO, RE/MAX, SECU, SGMC Health, Wakefield Biochar, Wild Adventures, and all our other dedicated volunteers and community partners!

We are so grateful for every person who gave their time and energy to strengthen our community today. Your commitment shows what it means to live out our mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.

When we show up for one another, we make a lasting impact. United Is the Way! 💙❤️

Today, we officially kicked off our 2027 United Way campaign with an incredible morning of connection, inspiration, and community!

This year, we’re setting our highest campaign goal to date: $1.5 MILLION, and we’re already 25% of the way there! 🎉

While $1.5 million is an ambitious goal, we believe deeply in the caring power of our community and what we can accomplish when we come together to support our neighbors across South Georgia.

A huge thank you to Rainwater Conference Center and Event Point for your incredible support and for helping make today’s kickoff a success!

We also want to thank Tanner Herrington and Niki Olgetree for representing the Greater Valdosta United Way Board today, and Ronnie Dean of SGMC Health for advocating for United Way and the impact we’re making across our community.
