This is exactly why Leadership
Lowndes matters. ❤️

Today, members of the Classes of 2020 and 2021 came together to make a very generous donation to the George Page Legacy Scholarship.

The class year may end, but the relationships, the service, and the commitment to our community continue long after.

People are what make Leadership Lowndes special - and today was such a beautiful example of that legacy continuing.

The Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026 got the inside scoop on local education during their most recent program day — Education Day! 🎓📚

The class visited Valdosta High School, Lowndes High School, Scintilla Charter Academy, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and Valdosta State University, interacting with students and learning more about the incredible opportunities available right here in our community.

From K-12 to higher education and workforce training, the future is bright in Lowndes County!

Congratulations Billy Young, Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026!

A BIG congratulations to Lowndes County Fire Rescue Chief Billy Young! Chief Young was recently selected to serve as a Director at Large on the Georgia State Firefighters Association (GSFA) Board of Directors.

Founded in 1952, GSFA is Georgia's largest and oldest fire service organization. The association provides an active network and resources for firefighters, while advocating for and supporting the fire service at the state and national levels.

We are incredibly proud of Chief Young and this opportunity to represent Lowndes County while helping lead, support, and strengthen the fire service across Georgia.

Congratulations, Chief Young! 🌟
