Castaic Union School District is a suburban school district located in the Santa Clarita Valley, in the northern portion of Los Angeles County. Castaic serves nearly 1,900 students in grades kindergarten through eight in four schools. We also offer transitional kindergarten and preschool opportunities. Castaic students attend Castaic High School in the William S. The District employs 102 certificated, 125 classified, and 25 confidential/management personnel.

🐣 Some Very Important New Students Have Arrived at Northlake Hills! 🐥
There has been nonstop excitement in Kindergarten at Northlake Hills Elementary School as their adorable baby chicks have officially hatched! From tiny peeps to fluffy little waddles, these newest classroom members have quickly stolen everyone’s hearts. 💛
Our students have loved watching the eggs hatch and learning all about the life cycle along the way. It has been such a sweet hands-on learning experience filled with wonder, curiosity, and lots of smiles.
We’re pretty sure these chicks are enjoying all the attention, too. 🐤✨
As we pause this Memorial Day weekend, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We also hold close the families who carry the weight of those sacrifices each and every day. ❤️ 🤍 💙
Because of their courage, dedication, and selflessness, we are able to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we sometimes take for granted. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Please join us Tuesday May 19 at 5pm at Castaic Middle School for the Spring Concert!
Performances will include Concert Band, Beginning and Advanced Percussion Ensemble, Choir, Guitar Ensemble and Jazz Band. Concessions will be sold. Admission is free, however donations towards the music program are encouraged!

👷 It's Facilities Friday! Our Measure QS Bond Funds at Work at CES!
Exciting progress is happening across our Castaic Elementary School campus. Construction began in January 2026, and we are already seeing important improvements take shape, including updates to our front office, media center, TK classroom, preschool area, TK/K playground, digital marquee, and infrastructure improvements, including roofing.
We are so grateful to our Board of Trustees and our community for supporting Measure QS and investing in the future of our Cubs. These improvements will help create safer, more modern, and more engaging learning spaces for our students, staff, and families.
