Ready communities start with prepared people.

Building on the recent Regional Disaster Ready Summit, learn the steps you can take to help protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community during an emergency.

The Regional Disaster Ready Summit is a statewide preparedness initiative hosted by Cal OES across multiple counties in California. Local government staff, community organizations, emergency responders, and tribal members are invited to come together to bridge the gap between preparedness (having a plan in place) and readiness (knowing one another and ensuring familiarity with the resources others have to offer). Throughout the event, attendees are encouraged to share and map resources with one another, build trust and communication channels for disaster response, and develop their crisis leadership skills and coordination of strategies.

Today, we came together for Rincon’s Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. 🇺🇸

With each step, we honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the first responders who answered the call.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in remembering and honoring their sacrifice. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we honor the courage, service and sacrifice of first responders who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

We remember their families and loved ones, lives forever changed.
And we remain committed to carrying their memory forward.

September 11, 2001. Never forgotten.

September 11, 2001 is more than a moment in history. 25 years later, the service
and sacrifice of 911 first responders on that day remains inspirational to us all.

Rincon’s Memorial Stair Climb remembers those who climbed toward danger
when others needed help — including many first responders who never returned
safely.

This remembrance is reflected in the Rincon Fire Department’s commitment to
protect communities today.

Please join us on September 12 for the Rincon 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. We
climb so that we never forget.
