🚔 Officer Michael Green Recognized by MADD for Outstanding DWI Enforcement 🚔
The Valley View Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Michael Green, who was recently presented with the 2026 North Texas MADD Enforcement Hero Award for his outstanding commitment to impaired-driving enforcement.
Officer Green has demonstrated an exceptional dedication to keeping impaired drivers off our roadways. In recent years, he has made nearly 50 DWI arrests, each representing an impaired driver removed from the road before that decision could potentially result in tragedy.
The importance of this work cannot be overstated. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 11,904 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in the United States in 2024. That represents approximately 30% of all traffic fatalities nationwide and averages out to one person killed every 44 minutes.
Those aren’t simply statistics. They are parents, children, spouses, friends, coworkers, and neighbors whose lives were lost because someone chose to drive impaired.
DWI enforcement requires officers to be proactive, observant, thorough, and willing to put in the extra work that comes with these investigations. Officer Green has repeatedly demonstrated those qualities, and his efforts have undoubtedly made the roads in and around Valley View safer.
We are honored to have Officer Green representing the Valley View Police Department, and we are extremely proud to see his hard work recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Please join us in congratulating Officer Michael Green on this well-deserved recognition and thanking him for his continued dedication to protecting our community.
Congratulations, Officer Green! Well earned. 👏🚔
