Valley School District Our goal is to provide a positive educational experience for all students to develop skills, competencies and attitudes.

The goal of the Valley School District, from our brick and mortar offerings to Columbia Virtual Academy, is to provide a positive educational experience for all students to develop skills, competencies and attitudes which are fundamental to being a contributing and responsible citizen. The Valley School District places great value on family choice education, the belief that parents or guardians are the best educators of their children, and cooperation with: students, families, the community, other districts and the State.

This month, we’re also celebrating Candace Harris, Director of Valley Early Learning Center! 🎉

You’ll often find Candace at VELC filling in wherever she’s needed, working late, or walking through the new building with a smile on her face. It’s easy to see how much this place—and the people in it—mean to her.

Her laugh and smile are infectious, and she works hard to make sure every staff member feels supported, appreciated, and valued for the role they play in caring for our littlest learners. 💙

Thank you, Candace, for your hard work, your joy, and the care you give to the entire VELC community. We’re grateful for all you do!

Our National Principals Month celebration continues with Leoni Johnson, principal of Valley School! 🎉

Leoni is thoughtful, caring, and dedicated to her students and staff. She makes people feel supported and appreciated, and her staff love working with her—and for her!

Leoni is also the one who keeps everyone laughing, whether it’s with a perfectly timed comment, a great story, or a gift that hits just right. Her humor makes working together even more fun! 💙

Thank you, Leoni, for the care, commitment, and laughter you bring to Valley School. We’re grateful for you and all you do for our school community!
