We were happy to have Dana Hamaday from Parents As Teachers to speak to us this morning about the program she runs in Porter County. It helps children and families navigate ages 3, 4, and 5 as kids prepare for kindergarten.

A great group of members came together to put on another successful Golf Outing working with First Tee of Porter County. Thanks to all the Sunrise Kiwanians that helped and to all the golfers, businesses, organizations, and individuals who financially supported this effort to help kids.

It was great to have Moses and Zoey, Therapy Dogs in the Valpo Schools, at our meeting this morning. They were very well behaved (as were their owners, Bonnie Stephens and Nick Slater, 2 of Valparaiso's finest Elementary School Principals!) It was fun to learn about all they do to support the children (and the adults) in the Valparaiso Community Schools.
