High School Cross Country had the chance to race at the Regionals in New Prairie. The boys' team placed 21st out of 25 full teams. The girls placed 15th, with Jody Stump leading the way at 26th. Jody snagged an individual bid to State and will race on the legendary Lavern Gibson course on Saturday, October 31st.

High School student council members interested in attending the State convention in November need to pick up a permission slip from outside Mrs. Peres' door. There is more information posted about the convention on google classroom.

The Student Council is still collecting boxes of instant mashed potatoes. They can be brought into Mrs. Peres by November 2nd.

The middle school student council will be hosting a Monster Mash Halloween dance after school on October 30th from 5-6:30 in the Dold Gym. Tickets are $5, and will be available for purchase before school in either Mrs. Mendez or Ms. Balon's room, or during lunch. Every ticket purchased will automatically enter you in for a raffle prize that will be announced at the dance. A portion of every sale will be donated to Lakeshore Paws."

For those students interested in being part of the High School Robotics Club and/or the High School Academic Science Team please email Mr. Hutson of your interest. Practice for both of these activities will begin the week of November 2nd after Fall Break. See Mr. Hutson for more information.

1st quarter honor rolls are posted in the atrium and outside the media center. Congratulations to all of our hard-working students!

THE STRETCH CONTINUES

High clouds with sunshine--that's what we'll be seeing the next two days with mild temperatures continuing here in the Region. Expect a north wind to become dominant today keeping temps on the cooler side (with 50s common later today in our lakeshore counties) before our wind turns more southerly tomorrow and temps start to bump back up. We'll stay dry in the near-term with shower chances returning later in the week!
