With Memorial Day coming up in a couple days we had to make sure our building has some fresh Stars and Stripes ! For those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Country, we salute you! Thank you could never be enough.

Come celebrate our Valley Bureau Honorary Fire Chief Gregory K. Martayan at Fire Station 88 in Sherman Oaks, Ca…TODAY, May 9th, 2026. The ceremony will take place been 11am and noon inside Fire Station 88. After the ceremony their will be an LAFD Air Operations flyover, followed by a Firefighter demonstration! TODAY IS THE DAY! Please join us in celebrating the Los Angeles City Fire Departments Fire Service Day. All Fire Stations in the City will have their doors open and ready to let you check out what we do! Some stations across the City will be having additional attractions such as demonstrations, static displays, food, and ways to learn about how to reduce your risk for emergencies in your own home! In the Valley, those additional attractions will be at Fire Station 88, 86, 99, and 91. Please join us between 10am and 4PM, TODAY, May 9th,2026! can’t wait to see you all there! Fire Station 96 had the pleasure of honoring a former Firefighter who had passed away in February. His family is shown here with the members of Fire Station 96 where he served many years. Rest in peace Firefighter Charles H. Petty Jr. who served the citizens of LA in the LAFD from January 1965 to February of 1985. Thank you for your service.

Special thanks to the Southland Regional Association of Realtors Inc. For the extremely generous donation of toys to the LAFD’s Spark of Love toy program! These toys will make some deserving children extremely happy!

Come one, come all to LAFD Fire Station 102 for a morning of fun, holiday cheer, and generosity. They will be hosting a Spark of Love Toy Drive that includes hot chocolate, the fire engine, and photos with Santa himself. Bring an unwrapped gift and feel that holiday spirit!

SAVE THE DATE! Your LAFD Fire Station 60 in North Hollywood will be hosting a pancake breakfast with Santa on December 20th! Bring the kids for games, jumpers, and Fire Trucks! All proceeds help improve your local Fire Station.
